C-SPAN’s StudentCam 2010 Overview
What is C-SPAN’s StudentCam?
C-SPAN’s StudentCam is an annual national video documentary competition that encourages students in middle and high school, grades 6th through 12th, to think seriously about issues that affect our communities and our nation. Students are asked to create a short (5-8 minute) video documentary that addresses the 2010 StudentCam topic.
This Year's StudentCam Topic:
Students have the opportunity to choose between two topics:
A) One of our country's greatest strengths;
-OR-
B) A challenge the country is facing.
StudentCam 2010 Requirements:
- Since C-SPAN’s philosophy is to show varying sides of an issue, winning StudentCam documentaries will provide the same treatment of their selected topic.
- Include C-SPAN programming related to the documentary’s topic
- 5 to 8 minute time limit
- Credits at the end of the documentary or a works cited list
- Students are to submit their documentary and entry form directly on StudentCam’s website, www.studentcam.org.
